Adding an MOT entry
- Open the vehicle’s detail page.
- Scroll to the MOT history section.
- Click + Add MOT.
- Fill in the form and save.
MOT fields
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Test date | Yes | The day the test was performed. |
| Expiry date | Yes | When this certificate expires. Used for alerts. |
| Result | Yes | Scheduled / Pass / Fail / Advisory. |
| Testing center | Optional | Name of the station. |
| Certificate number | Optional | Official reference. |
| Advisory notes | Optional | Free text — use for advisory or failed-item details. |
Expiry tracking
Every entry shows a visual badge based on how far away the expiry date is:
- Green — more than 60 days away.
- Amber — 60 to 30 days away.
- Red — 30 days or fewer, or expired.
Customer alerts
If the vehicle is synced to a Vehium customer-app user (via matching client email), the vehicle owner automatically receives:
- A push notification 30 days before expiry.
- A second push 7 days before expiry.
- An email summary 3 days before expiry.
Editing and deleting entries
Click the row to edit; the pencil icon opens the same form. Delete via the trash icon — deletion is immediate but logged internally.
Tip
Log an Advisory entry with the advisory list in the notes even when the car passes — it’s useful for follow-up reminders and proves due-diligence later.
