Edit or delete a client
How to keep client records up to date, and how to remove one safely.
Edit
- Open the client’s detail page.
- Click the Edit button in the header card.
- The same form you used to add the client opens, pre-filled with current values.
- Make your changes and click Save.
Edits are applied everywhere: client list, service history, invoices referencing this client, and the linked customer app.
Delete
- Open the client’s detail page.
- Click the Delete button in the header card.
- Confirm the action in the dialog.
What deletion does
Deleting a client unlinks them from any vehicles and past services. The vehicles and services remain in the system (so revenue history is preserved) but show Owner removed. This is irreversible — consider editing the record instead if you just want to correct bad data.
Alternatives to deletion
- Merge duplicates: if the same client exists twice, keep the better one and delete the other. Vehium doesn’t have an auto-merge — re-link the vehicles manually before deleting.
- Archive: there is no explicit archive flag, but you can prefix the last name with
[INACTIVE]to push them to the bottom of searches without losing data.
Viewing deletion history
Deletions are logged internally for 30 days. If you need a record restored within that window, email info@vehium.com with the client’s full name and approximate deletion date.
