Delete your workshop
A destructive action. Read this whole page before you click anything.
Deletion removes every client, vehicle, service, invoice, photo, and employee record for this workshop. Your Vehium login stays, but you’ll need to create a new workshop to continue.
Two options
| Option | What happens |
|---|---|
| 30-day grace period (recommended) | Workshop is scheduled for deletion 30 days from now. During that window you can sign in, view data, and cancel the pending deletion at any time. Your Stripe subscription is automatically set to cancel at period end — no further charges after the current month. |
| Delete immediately | Workshop and all data are purged within minutes. The Stripe subscription is cancelled immediately — any time already paid for is forfeited (no proration). |
Both options cancel the Stripe subscription for you. If you only want to stop billing but keep your account, don’t delete the workshop — just cancel the subscription from inside Vehium instead.
How to start
- Open Settings → Danger zone (only visible to admins).
- Click Delete workshop.
- Confirm your password.
- Pick the grace period option or the immediate one.
- Optionally tell us why you’re leaving (this helps us improve).
- Type your company name into the confirmation box to proceed.
- Click Delete.
During the grace period
If you chose the 30-day option, a banner shows the countdown every time you sign in. A Cancel deletion button in Danger zone reverses it instantly — billing resumes where it left off.
After deletion
- Your data is removed from live systems.
- Backups are kept for 35 days (disaster-recovery policy), after which they’re shredded.
- Invoice records required by tax law are retained in a legal archive for up to 7 years, accessible only via support.
- Customers linked via the customer app keep their vehicle records in the customer app — but without your workshop attached.
Export before you delete
There’s no bulk export yet. If you want records, print individual invoices and service logs first. Email info@vehium.com if you need help pulling a larger archive.
